A sandwich can be a snack or a hearty meal and usually consists of two pieces of bread between which there is a filling of meat, cheese, or vegetables, and sometimes fat in the form of butter, olive oil, or mayonnaise, and seasoning or flavouring condiments such as mustard. Today the category of sandwich includes hamburgers, open faced 'sandwiches', and items such as rolls and wraps, usually a tortilla, or roti wrapped around grilled meats or vegetables.
