From ArticleWorld

Overuse injuries are those musculoskeletal injuries that occur as a result of repetitive use of a set of muscles or as a result of repetitive forces placed on a weakened bone. Muscular injuries include carpal tunnel syndrome and tennis elbow, also known as lateral epicondylitis. Skeletal overuse injuries are primarily that of stress fractures involving the lower extremities. The treatment of these injuries involves rest, ice and anti-inflammatory medication. Braces, wraps and casts may also help in maximizing recovery.
