Electronic Music heavily uses synthesizers and has strong ties to much of the Euro disco and other old school music that helped build this genre of music into the base genre. As it began to fracture into small genres they all share the same base roots of electronic instruments and a fast beat that is famous with this style of music. This genre gained much of its popularity in the early 1990’s and is still an influencing factor in music today.
