Just as the bands in the industrial genre made an impact in Europe and the United States, so did the individuals that comprised these bands. Many individuals of this genre were instrumental in the revolutionizing of the music and in creating new genres that would go well beyond the scope of the industrial genre. Still, some of these genres would be short lived. May of these artists were song writers and started their own projects as well as being members of bands.
