DNA is a double-helix polymer found in nucleus of cells and associated with the transmission of genetic information. It is composed of a chain of nucleotide units. The nucleotide units in DNA contain four types of bases, namely, adenine, thymine, cytosine and guanine. These bases bond with each other in a specific way across the two strands. Adenine always bonds to thymine and cytosine always bonds to guanine.
