Barbie is an established trademarked doll which has conquered the heart of many little girls in the world. It first appeared in 1959 and quickly grew to its actual fame and status. Barbie has been used as a tool for promoting gender equity in several occasions as she has taken in different jobs by being featured with occupations that were labeled "for man". Barbie was, amongst others, a doctor, dentist, fairy, mermaid, politician, rock star, tourist, firefighter, an Olympic athlete and many more.
