How to begin paintballing

From ArticleWorld

Have you ever wanted to know how to start playing paintball? Paintball is a very popular sport, and many people are invited to play by friends or colleagues. It can be daunting, but once you know the basics, you can get out and have fun with your friends.

Method

To being paintballing, you need a paintball gun. If you are just starting out, you’ll need a cheap but good quality make. Pick one that is lightweight and easy to control. You will also need a hopper (the device that pushes the paint into the gun).

Buy a propulsion tank. The best one for a beginner is CO2, as it is cheap and there are plenty of ways to refill it.

Buy safety equipment. Goggles are a MUST, but a full mask is better. Get some gloves too, as they will protect your hand while you fire. Get a barrel plug (this will prove cost-effective when you accidentally pull the trigger. Imagine what would happen without one).

Look after the gun. You will need gun oil (no alternatives). Clean that sucker after every game.

Buy accessories. You might not want to spend a great deal, but you’ll be glad you bought something when you see what everyone else has got.

hints

When actually playing, try to be on the attacking side.

Fire multiple shots at targets: firing only one shot will warn the enemy. You can get cheaper deals for buying paintballs in bulk anyway.

If your mask gets hit with a paintball, don’t remove it. The mask is the thing between your face and the paintball. You need it in place. If it blocks your view, signal to your team-mates and the referee. They will help you.

If your shield breaks, or snaps, don’t panic. You should shield your face with your hands, and shout for help. People will come running.
