Tantramassage

From ArticleWorld

Tantramassage was developed in the 1980's by Andreas Rothe, an experienced Tantra and bodywork teacher. Tantra are the sacred writings of Tantrism, a movement in Hinduism and Buddhism based on sexual yoga and meditation. By incorporating elements from yoga and sex therapy, Rothe devised a therapy integrating spirituality and sensuality to be used in the treatment of sexual dysfunction, whether that manifests itself in lack of confidence in sexuality or premature ejaculation.

Types of massage

The actual form of the massage does not necessarily follow a formula, but in most cases is left to the instinct and experience of the masseuse. It may involve reflexology, classic massage, acupressure, aromatherapy, facial massage as well as other types of massage. Therapists use natural and massage oils and peaceful music to encourage a feeling of ease. It is not, however, a sex service and the subject's role is entirely a passive one.

Massage session

A typical session lasts from 1.5 to 2 hours and the recipient of the massage is unclothed. The whole body is massaged including the intimate areas. The idea is to stimulate the energy flowing through the body and, as sexual energy is considered one of the most basic aspects of being human, this is also stimulated in an effort to open senses, increase body sensitivity and encourage a feeling of deep relaxation.
