Joan Roney

With the words “Hail to the Thief” written on her back, Joan Roney, the Developmental Director of Rainforest Relief ran through the crowd naked at George W. Bush’s Presidential Inauguration. Roney had previously been arrested for protesting at the 2004 Republican National Convention and charged with disorderly conduct.

Roney is an environmental activist from New York, and in addition to Rainforest Relief she also founded an organization named Dogwalking for Rainforests.
