Steel pan is a genre of music is originated in the twin island state of Trinidad & Tobago located in the Caribbean. It uses a percussion instrument that is essentially a steel pan that has been shaped into a bowl and makes a melody that is similar to a bell like percussion sound. It is light and fluid in its rhythm and presentation. It has been a popular folk style of music that has been presented in numerous Medias.
