From ArticleWorld

Skeletal disorders are a family of diseases that affect the bone in some way. A skeletal disorder can involve a weakness or underproduction of bone, such as in osteoporosis or Paget’s disease. The bone can overproduce in Paget’s disease as well, or in the formation of bone spurs or in spinal stenosis. Bone can suffer cell death in osteomyelitis (bone infection) or in osteochondrosis, where the vascular supply of bone is often affected. Bone growth disorders, such as scoliosis, involve a disparity in bone growth that affects the straightness of the spine.
