Category:Reference works

From ArticleWorld

Reference works are documents that compile a large number of information to make it easily available for reference. Such reference works include almanacs, handbooks, encyclopedias and dictionaries, but also more common documents, like the user guides of computer programs or the standard library.

Reference works often gain a status of symbol of the field they are used in (like the Anarchist Cookbook or the Copper Book), often making it into the popular culture.
