Category:Positions of authority

From ArticleWorld

A position of authority is a role where one has some power over another or others. Only the person at the very bottom of the hierarchy, then, does not have a position of authority. Such ranking is obvious in the military, law enforcement and politics but is also fundamental to business organizations and religious leaders. In some cases, authority is granted by birthright or by elections or in some cases, the authority is self-imposed such as is the case with dictators.
