Nueva cancan is a folk style music that was developed in the country of Chile. It was focused as a means of speaking out on the political issues and also providing a strong melody that helped keep the focus of the lyrics in the direction that was sought for. I was a force in the 1960’s and have stayed to an extent through the past few decades.
