There are many banks in the United States and they have to respect national and state laws. The term is usually linked with two organizations, although this is an incorrect use, which both received the same title. They are the First Bank of The United States of America (1791-1811) and the Second Bank of The United States (1816-1841). The same name can be given to the Federal Reserve. Also, the Bank of America must not be linked to the term.
