All women bands have been around for over sixty years, but have reached a new level of appreciation in the past twenty years. The Bangles, Bananarama, Kittie, L7, and Indigo Girls have shown that talent doesn’t lie in gender. These bands and many others like them have also developed new styles that have created new genres of music. Some of the music performed by these bands has not only made them United State hits or United Kingdom hits, but world wide sensations.
