Ballygunge is one of the most posh residential localities in South Kolkata (Calcutta), India. It is surrounded by the Eastern Railway south suburban line in the east and the Lakes (renamed as Rabindra Sarovar) in the west. On its north lies Park Circus and Bhowanipore and Manoharpukar lies to the south. Ballygunge is a beautiful and large area encompassing Gariahat, Old Ballygunge, Lakes, Deshapriya Park and parts of Lansdowne Road (also known as Sarat Bose Road).
