A magazine is a publication that contains articles, often time focused on a specific subject. A magazine is usually subscribed to by readers and features a high number of advertisements from companies, both of which support the staff and production of the publication. It may be weekly, biweekly, monthly, bimonthly or quarterly, and the date on the cover is usually ahead of the actual published date. Magazines are typically softbound, with glossy paper covers. Magazines can be geared to consumers or to businesses and there is a magazine for just about any interest: men or women, fitness, travel, home care, weddings, infants, etc.
