Geography is a science dealing with descriptions, distribution, and interaction of the physical, biological, and cultural features of the earth's surface. The word itself comes from the Greek words Ge or Gaea, both meaning "Earth," and graphein, which means "to describe" and "to write." So geography literally means “to describe or write about Earth.”
