The Sheraton Waikiki Beach Resort is managed by the Sheraton Group of Hotels but its owner is the multi-million Kyo-Ya Company Limited. The owners of Kyo-Ya first set up base in Hawaii in the year 1963 when two brothers bought two adjacent hotels in Hawaii and made a multi million dollar profit on the deal. Subsequently, they merged the two hotels after carrying out wide ranging renovation and this also turned out to be a very profitable venture. This then allowed them to launch the Kyo-Ya Company which now owns extensive property in and around Hawaii.
