Kate Spade was born in Kansas City, Missouri in the year 1962. She was born with the name Katherine Noel Brosnahan. While in college, she worked in a motorcycle bar. Kate majored in journalism at Arizona State University.

Meeting and working with her husband

Kate meet her husband Andy Spade in college but they didn’t start dating until years later until they were both living and working in New York City. In 1993, Andy and Kate began their design company selling handbags. Later, their company sold other stuff such as fashion accessories and bedroom items. In the years that followed, Kate Spade has been featuring special editions and collections by other fashion designers. In addition a collection with the fake name of Jack Spade is Kate Spade’s men’s collection. She isn’t the only person that works on her artistic view because she works with her husband.

There are many Kate Spade boutiques all around the world. These boutiques are located in the United States, Japan, Hong Kong, and the Philippines. The Neiman Marcus Group has the majority of stock in Kate Spade.

Kate Spade’s handbags are very fashionable and they display a peppy personality and have a preppy flair about them. It was also claimed in an article concerning fake handbag sales in New York City that her handbags were very easy to copy because of they way that they are made.
