How to take your iPod in a trip

From ArticleWorld

Apple's iPods are quite solid pieces of hardware. They will not break easily and have some protection with them anyhow. Nevertheless, there are some things you should take care of if you plan to take your iPod with you in a longer trip.

Steps

  1. First and foremost, make sure that your iPod's battery is fully charged when you leave. It may seem obvious, but a lot of people forget. If the battery seems to perform erratically, it may also be a good moment to change it.
  2. If you will travel by train, bus, foot or anything similar for some long time, you will probably want to listen to music on the road. If so, carry your iPod in a pocket, or in a carry-on bag. If you do not plan to use it, it would be better to pack it along with your things.
  3. If you pack it, it would be a good idea to put it in a box of its own, wooden or metallic (the former can be found with some neat models carved as well, and are fairly cheap). If you do not do so, at least put it on the top of the bag.
  4. While traveling, keep the volume low enough not to disturb those around you.
  5. Take an AC adapter with you. It never hurts.
