Muslims are followers of Islam. A muslim is considered to be any individual that said the Shahada. It is a ritual declaration that submits the person to God and certifies that Muhammad was its last prophet. Allah is the God in whom Muslims believe in. Other unusal terms used to describe these people are Mohammedans or Mahometans.
