Movements may refer to different actions. The term also has various meanings in music, politics and social studies. In most cases movement is related to motion. Common examples of movements are: locomotion (active movement), transport (of people, goods, information and signals), nastic movements, intermittent movements, movements as a special category of sacred dances, WH-Movement, etc. Different social movements have also exsited throughout history.
