Indian music dates back to unrecorded time and evolved and flourished over the millenniums. The basic music form and styles are Aryan and Dravidian. It has been influenced by Persian, Arabian and of late by the Pop culture of the West. Fusion of Western and Indian music is in a genre of its own. The various forms of Indian music are Folk, Classical, Religious and for entertainment.
