From ArticleWorld

Electronic design refers to the working out of a general plan to interconnect electronic components in order to achieve a desired product. The components invariably include a central microprocessor with several peripheral devices to support various functions. Electronic product designers usually take into consideration a number of factors before arriving at conclusions. After careful calculations, components with appropriate specifications are selected. These specifications mainly include the current and voltage ratings, the resistance involved and the temperature tolerance levels.
