Debit cards appear the same as credit cards; however, they are actually used to ask his bank accounts for withdrawing money. The most common bank accounts that are used with the debit card are checking accounts. Most places that we use credit cards will also use debit cards for making purchases. The only criterion that may have a bearing on this is in purchases are made internationally or if that bank is considered small, such as the credit union.
