Ready-to-wear

From ArticleWorld

Ready to wear clothing is mass marketed to many different people and it is placed in many fine department stores and some high end boutiques. Ready to wear clothing is also placed in many retail stores and is sold in a very high volume. Haute couture clothing in contrast, is created and designed for particular people and is sold exclusively at the most expensive stores in the world. These fashions are usually found in the fashion centers of the world like Rome, Italy, Paris France, and London England, and sometimes the United States.

Ready to wear clothing stores

Since most people only purchase ready to wear clothing, here are some stores that sell many ready to wear clothes:

  • Target
  • Wall-Mart
  • JC Penney
  • Nordstrom’s
  • Sax’s Fifth Avenue
  • Ann Taylor
  • Banana Republic
  • Anthropologie
  • Dillard’s

Some of the above stores have clothing designed by famous fashion designers. For example, sometimes Michel Kors’ label “Michael” can be found at Sax Fifth Avenue at a reduced price. In addition, Isaac Mizrahi creates a line of clothing exclusively for customers of Target stores that are affordably priced for every budget.

Haute Couture fashion houses

Ready to wear clothing is described as the everyman clothing. Haute couture clothing on the other hand, is designed for individuals that request that a special outfit be created and designed for them like a wedding or red carpet dress such as a dress for the Academy Awards.
