Television is a telecommunication technology popularized in the early half of the twentieth century. Since then, almost all American homes have at least one television. The term “television” means “far vision” from Greek and Latin and refers to all aspects of television – its programming, awards, genres, stations, etc. Television was originally in black and white. Color televisions and programming caught on in the mid-1900s in both America and Europe. Big names in the history of television include John Logie Baird, Allen B.
