Category:Semiconductor device fabrication

From ArticleWorld

Semiconductor device fabrication refers to the steps involved in the manufacture of integrated circuits from wafers of pure semiconductor materials such as silicon, gallium arsenide or germanium. These devices are used in countless applications in the fields of electrical and electronic engineering. A number of steps are involved in techniques used for fabrication. As a result of these steps, doping (addition of impurities) to alter conductivity, as well as layering of semiconductor material or insulators can be done.
