One of the most popular film genres is that of science fiction. This is perhaps the genre that incites the most passion amongst its fans, who go to great lengths to find out about and support their favourite characters and film series. The term science fiction incorporates many elements, the most obvious of which being space travel or the discovery of extra-terrestrial life. These films can be set in real or fictional places, or even universes, and utilise the imaginations of the filmmakers as well as the audience.
