Radio stations are centers that broadcast content through radio waves. Radio stations are the radio equivalent of TV channels, and they are often more theme-specific than the latter.
Many of them broadcast content over the Internet as well. They are some of the most popular centers of information broadcast, especially in remote areas, since running a radio station involves significantly lower costs. They are also used to broadcast important information during natural disasters, because the equipment needed to receive information is easier to carry, smaller and cheaper than others.
