The Pulitzer Prize is the most revered and respected of all of journalism and writing awards. This category is a listing of those people that have had that particular distinction. This is the Oscars for writers in the writing world today. There are many other awards, but none have the level of respect that this one can grant. Many aspire for this award, but few ever win this award. Joseph Pulitzer established this award and it has been awarded since 1917, six years after his death.
