Harry Potter books are written by J.K. Rowling and consists ot seven volumes. The first one (Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone) was released in 1997 and the seventh is due for publishing in 2007. Four of them were made into films with the fifth one scheduled for cinema screenings in 2006. Bloomsbury Publishing PLC is the publishing company. The author received a six-figure sum for the American publishing rights, setting an all time high for children’s books.
