Feminism is an enormous range of behaviors, beliefs, philosophies, public policy and political initiatives, human rights concerns, and theoretical orientations in social science premised on the notion that women's concerns, realities, and experiences have often been sidelined in the social, political and economic development of societies. While it is simplistic in the extreme, some use the slogan 'Feminism is the radical notion that women are equal to men' to explain the most basic trope of feminism.
