Virtual office
From ArticleWorld
A virtual office is one where many people, all engaged in different business, share infrastructure and facilities normally found only in offices of large companies. This kind of space, also called a serviced office, contains multiple telephone lines, computers, printers, fax machines and copiers, secretarial services, and mailboxes.
Often virtual offices offer only a mailing address and answering service or telephone number that redirects calls to the renter's desired location. This kind of 'office' is often used to lend credibility to home-based workers
Virtual offices are handy for one- or two-person businesses, or independent professionals needing temporary office space. They are also often rented and in situations where an address in a particular city is desirable or necessary for a business. For example, if a person wishes to register a company offshore, say in the Cayman Islands or Hong Kong, but has no intention of actually working out of either place, then a virtual office is a cheap solution.
