Velvet Acid Christ was the creation of four friends and had Bryan Erickson at the helm as its vocalist, producer, and general musician.

In the beginning

Velvet Acid Christ was originally created as a means of recreation among the members and as an outlet that could be done in the midst of their celebrated drug use. Through the course of time though this was to change as they became a voice in a social standpoint and had the following to be heard.

Into the lime light

During the mid 1990äs, Velvet Acid Christ gained popularity in the European underground and was shortly introduced to the North America as well. Seems like an odd way to do it considering that the band originates from Colorado.

Due to Erickson’s heavy involvement with the band and his overly outspoken nature, most of the praise and complaints are typically directed at him.

Changes

Due to differences in opinion and creative tastes, Velvet Acid Christ has had a number of lineup changes and only Erickson remains out of the original members. Although they have had a number of other musicians that have been involved with the band’s ten albums only two have become official members and part of the new core of the band.

To date Velvet Acid Christ is a three man roster. Although, this has changed in the past when there was need of the band. For the task that may be at hand during a particular task.

Currently, Velvet Acid Christ has gained a level of notice and have been one of the constants in the music for the Gothic and industrial subcultures.

In the 16 years that the band has been around they have released 10 full length albums and have had a certain level of fame.
