Tourism in the United States mobilizes millions of sightseers, both foreign and domestic, to visit its different attractions every year. In fact tourism in United States is a successful and productive industry that does much to boost the economy of all its States. The lawmakers of the Country have framed especially lenient tourist visa laws to attract foreigners to the nation’s shores. Apart from this, each State is required to work on its own to promote tourism within the state and at the local level. Tourists from all over the world come to America to see both its natural as well as man made wonders.

Naturally magnificent

America, as the third largest country in the world, abounds in natural wonders. It encompasses within its vast boundaries some of the world’s most awe inspiring sights. It has the Yellowstone National Park, which in spite of being a park includes geysers, hot springs water falls, calderas and the famous yellow stone that gave the park its name and many more natural phenomenon within its confines than any other place in the world. Other noteworthy parks include Zion, Yosemite and the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.

The vast deserts of Arizona , the Grand Canyon carved by the Colorado river, Niagara falls, the Great Lakes in the very north of the Country, the Mammoth caves, Death Valley and Devil’s Tower are some of the other natural wonders that attracts hoards of visitors every year.

Man made

The most awe inspiring monument in the Country probably is the Statue of Liberty, New York and attracts more visitors than any other in the Country. The Washington Monument, White House, Capitol Hill are some structures in Washington that are worth a visit.

America is known for its beautiful and well laid out cities. If Chicago, the windiest city, is known for its skyscrapers then San Francisco is known for the Golden Gate Bridge and China town. While Miami in Florida has beaches and everglades, New York City has Times Square, arguably the most popular square in the world.
