Specialty catalogs

From ArticleWorld

Specialty catalogs are online or paper compilations of all the products that a particular company advertises. Miniature brochures taken from a larger catalog containing a variety of gift items can be considered a specialty item as well.

Catalog organization

Products or services listed in catalogs usually come with price, size, amount per package, and a short description of the product. These products are usually then organized by order numbers or order letters, and often in categories. Many specialty catalogs also have an index for easy lookup. If it is an online catalog there is usually a search bare within the catalog, if it is in HTML catalog format.

Marketing products through the use of specialty catalogs is often less expensive and less threatening to competition. It is a great tool to use for test marketing a product after careful market research has been done on a product. Furthermore, the changes that need to be made in a specialty catalog can usually be made very easily, versus that in of large scale marketing distribution of products.

Single item catalogs

A specialty catalog can even just include the sale of one item or the sale of several models of the same item as well. This is very specific marketing which will most definitely target those who actually would be interested in the items in this catalog.

The customers who view these catalogs may be few in number than those who view catalogs of large chain stores. However, in the long run the company will be able to reach the people who actually want to buy a particular product or even a service from a company.
