Life of Agony, also known as LOA is a hardcore and hard rock band from Brooklyn, New York. They are the cornerstone to the music scene in the New York music scene. They are respected by fans and peers alike. They have had a huge impact on the music industry in both New York and in the Nation.

Influences

Life of Agony is influenced by bands as diverse as Radiohead, Metallica, Pink Floyd, and Black Sabbath. You can hear these bands influences in their music, as they devise the harsh, electronic, and grinding music that has been the standard in much of the out today. In numerous bands you can also hear a hint of Life of Agony. They have become a mesh of other bands and have infected them in turn.

Their intensity in their live performances, their haunting melodies, and lyrical expressions have made their concerts unforgettable at best. This group radiated a passion and emotion that has struck deep in the hearts of misunderstood youth throughout the world. Songwriting

Keith Caputo and Alan Robert write all the songs, but never had written songs together prior to Soul Searching Sun. Up until then, Robert wrote the melody and Caputo wrote the lyrics. The lyrics were almost entirely about his parents and home life, in particular his mother and what she was to him.

Singing

Keith Caputo's vocal style is distinct and is not like many of the other singers in the industry today. Much of this is due to his extensive training and his devotion to the music. He has developed this over the course of the bands career.
