Karl Malone is second in the alltime scoring list and hold a large number of other records. Malone and John Stockton were a duo that sharttered most of the records that existed in the NBA. The only thing that eluded Karl Malone was the NBA Championship and NBA Finals MVP.

Early Years

Karl Malone was chosen by the Utah Jazz as the 13th draft pick in 1985. After his rookie season the Jazz decided to take a chance and traded their core player so that they could focus on Malone as the go to guy.

Over the next few years Malone raised his shooting percentages and added a jump shot to give him range and make him much harder to guard. This added with John Stocktonäs progression made them a duo that was hard to stop. Both could dominate a game when they needed to and were consistently on the all time and also yearly All Stars.

NBA finals

After numerous years of coming up just short, the Jazz made it to the NBA Finals two years in a row only to be denied the championship due to Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls. With Jordan’s retirement the following year, everyone had the Jazz pegged as the new champions. That would not be the case as time started to show it face in Malone and Stockton.

Dirty player

Karl Malone is considered by many player to be a dirty player, yet it is his physical play that makes him appear this way. He has caused a variety of injuries on other players, yet this still happens to this day with other players.

Milestones

Karl Malone is known as the Mailman and is second on the all time list in points, was a member of the Dream Team, labeled as one of the 50 greatest players, he has won the NBA MVP Award twice, Voted to the All Star game 14 times and MVP twice for the All Star Game. His jersey #32 was retired by the Utah Jazz.
