How to win a paintball game

From ArticleWorld

If you play paintball, you must want to know how to win a paintball game. Once you’ve mastered the basics of point and shoot, the next stop is to plan a win! This should be based upon three words: strategy, strategy, strategy.

Method

Gather a team that works well together, and know each other’s strengths and weaknesses. If you can plan a game to your best advantage, that puts you in a good position from the off.

If you know your own team well, you should know the other team even better. What are their strengths? If they have a great sniper, no point in a strategy that lets him pick you off. Who are the important players? Take them out first.

Game plan, and plan is the operative word. Develop a Napoleon complex, and iron out a perfect strategy. Plan your actions, but plan for the other team as well. They aren’t just going to lay down while you march to victory.

Plan for the best – you could blow the enemy away. Consider the worst – you could end up bunkered with all your team catching the early bus home.

Think on your feet. Send scouts forward to spy on the other team. How is the enemy going forward? Are there any stragglers? The scouts should tell you what is happening and let you plan your moves. Think fast.

Attack, and then attack some more. Always have plenty of ammo.

Hints

  • If (when) you win, change your strategy. Keep repeating the same plan, and you’re going to get beaten. If you lose, it is even more essential to change.
  • If you are getting seriously flattened, take cover. Only shoot if you’re sure of a hit. Lay low, but don’t signal a retreat. Hang on to what you’ve got.
  • He who shoots and runs away, lives to paintball another day. Don’t abandon the plan when you scent victory. Even if there are only a handful of opponents left, don’t try and charge them: you will lose.
