In the 21st century, major fashion designers are not only concerned about clothes but they spent a great deal of time working on footwear. In this day and age, consumers across the board are increasingly interested in finding attractive footwear items. Indeed, the costs associated with footwear fashion had increased steadily and oftentimes dramatically over the course of the past twenty years.

Materials and components

Many different components and products are used to create and design shoes in this day and age. The purpose behind these different elements is to make footwear both attractive and durable. In short, shoes require component parts that are both thought and trendy.

The primary materials that are used in the design and manufacture of most shoes include leather, rubber, plastic, textiles of different types and wood.

There are other elements that can be part of a shoe's design in many instances. Footwear features many different components to make them not only complete, but attractive too. Shoes require tough materials that are comfortable and trendy. The different types of footwear products that are available on the market in the 21st century virtually is endless. The different styles and types of shoes are designed to meet the preferences, needs and requirements of different consumers.

Boots have been and continue to be very widely worn types of shoes. People favor boots because of the convenience and durability. Cowboy boots, gumboots even trendy go-go boots are very popular. More often than not, boots are made from leather -- although in this day and age there are boots made from a wide array of different types of materials (again, depending upon a person's tastes, needs and desires).

Gumboots are also very popular. These boots are made of rubber and are designed to keep feet dry. Go-go boots actually were first created in about 1960. The are very stylish and trendy and oftentimes are worn with short dresses or mimi-skirts.

Ski boots are commonly work by men and women as well as children who enjoy alpine and winter time recreation.

In this day and age there is a plethora of different footwear products for athletes. Sports shoes, gym shoes, running shoes, tennis shoes and many other different types of athletic shoes are sold abundantly the world over. Indeed, the athletic shoe market is a huge industry in today's world. People are paying significant amounts of money for even one pair of athletic shoes.

Sandals of different styling have also become very popular in the 21st century. Indeed, both women and men can be seen sporting different styles of sandals at a wide array of different settings.

Finally, many people favor the wearing of slippers around the house. Slippers keep feet warm and safe, even when a person is at home relaxing. Most importantly, slippers are comfortable and are designed to allow feet the chance to relax and refresh while a person is enjoying some down time at home.
