A mistreated, emotionally abused woman, is rejected by her cruel husband, and seeks revenge. Her rich, successful husband is seeing another woman, and removes her clothes from the house. When her grandmother gets involved, the woman rebuilds her self-esteem, and claims the love of another man.

Plot

A loyal, devoted wife, Helen(Kimberly Elise)has been thrown out of her own house by her super-lawyer, rich husband, Charles (Steve Harris)after eighteen years of marriage. He’s been cheating on her with his mistress, Brenda(Lisa Marcos). Brenda moves in their palatial mansion, after Charles packs her clothes on a moving van to rid himself of her.

Hurt and bitter, Helen confides in her grandmother, Medea(Tyler Perry in drag)an over-the-top character who offers comfort and advice. Medea is a grandma from hell. Well over six foot, Medea is inclined toward aggressive talk; and she has a habit of firing her pistol at the ceiling to get your attention.

However, in her pain, Helen finds a friend who happens to be the moving van driver, Orlando(Shemar Moore)who takes an instant shine to her. But she still has feelings for Charles and she still has hope for saving her marriage. She puts Orlando on hold.

With the help of Medea, who destroys the furniture in the mansion, she seeks some type of revenge. She’s working in a low paying job as a waitress, and receives no financial compensation from the court. She wants the payback, though.

Resolution

Charles’ fortunes change. He’s physically disabled, and incapable of caring for himself. He has no one else but Helen to look after him. His mistress has gone. She has this satisfaction. Then, she lets him go to claim the love that Orlando has for her. This is a woman scorned finds a paradise of love after living in hell.
