Women’s magazines are periodical publications that focus on women’s issues, typically fashion, style, beauty, health, fitness, sex and careers. There are some magazines, such as Vogue Girl, ELLE girl and Seventeen, which focus on teen girls. Other women’s magazines place an emphasis on beauty and fashion issues only. Many women’s magazines are glossy, full-color products that are published monthly to a healthy subscriber base. For most of these magazines, single-copy sales are available at newsstands. They derive much of their income from advertising sales. Some popular women’s magazines include Cosmopolitan, Allure, Good Housekeeping, Jane, Ladies Home Journal, O Magazine, Redbook, Mademoiselle and Family Circle.
