Wax museums are a building in which large collections of waxwork models are housed. The waxwork models often depict famous faces from the contemporary age as well as historical figures. A waxwork museum contains lifelike wax portraits of these well-known faces incorporating physical features as well as facial nuances to create a realistic mould of a celebrity or personality. Often wax museums incorporate a gory portrayal of history in the shape of a Chamber of Horrors, depicting torture and murder of bygone ages.
