Underwear refers to the clothes that are worn next to the skin and typically worn under other clothes. Usually clothing is designated as underwear, but t-shirts and some shorts can be worn as both underwear and outdoor clothing. Everyone – men and women alike, wears underwear. Men often wear boxer shorts or boxer briefs, whereas women on a daily basis wear a variety of cuts of underwear on their bottoms: Bikini cut, thongs, full coverage, g-strings, etc. And typically wear brassieres to cover their breasts. Underwear can also be referred to as lingerie (often in the case of fancy women’s underwear) or corsetry.
