Tennis is a sport that is played with a racquet and a rubber ball covered with felt. The number of people playing can be two (singles) or four (doubles). Tennis originated in England in the late 19th century and quickly spread through the upper class. Nowadays the sport is an Olympic sport and is played by all kind of people. The most important tennis events are the four Grand Slam tournaments.
