These charts are the ones that songs are placed on if they are deemed good enough by whomever determines this. Typically it is the general public that decides this either by a polling process or by album sales. There are a large number of charts in the world as there are internet charts, ones for certain magazines, and even ones for countries. They also have the music broken down by genre or category listing.
