Many bands that were punk saw the genre come and go. They either died with it or adjusted to a new style of music that became the staple for the 1980’s. This was a lighter and more upbeat style that used synthesizers and became the rave for the younger crowds and dance clubs. Many new bands were born in this timeframe as music made a major shift. This is partly due to also the exposure to European music as well.
